The selected works are currently on display at the Plaza branch of the Kansas City Library from October 2023 to mid-January 2024. These six pieces explore mental health, living with disability, and finding acceptance of and space for grief. It is harrowing with a dash of hope and growth because no matter how dark it gets, there is always light nearby. It is a lovely collection that is perfect for Spooky Season as well as the colder months of Winter where reflection, introspection, and rest are required.

The background has a blood red fading into a dark grey, dancing over mountains. White splatters seem to erupt in either direction. A gold triangle holds an epicenter of perceived calm while smoke escapes through the cracks.

Background is a solid, metallic old gold color with visible brushstrokes. Several black splatters and splotches split the canvas into two distinct halves. The spots are connected together by sinew either pulling them apart or back together. Two distorted red handprints sit center. This piece can be displayed on all sides.

The background is a dark grey with white splatters moving diagonally across from bottom left to top right. A slop of red sits center with two gold triangles entangled in it. A drippy stream of black crosses from the upper left to lower right.

Four dark grey towers jut upward into a red sky. White splatters surround the towers. A giant singular gold triangle focuses attention on the center of the canvas.

The background is a slate grey with three wide red splats that span the whole canvas. Four white tire-like brush strokes twist and turn across the splats as a criss-cross black pattern sits on top. In the center, there are multiple black tendrils that reach out from a black hole. Two incomplete black rectangles frame the hole and a gold triangle tangles all layers together.

The Plaza Branch Library is located near the Country Club Plaza. Free parking is available in the Plaza Branch's parking garage. There are designated children's and teen's service areas, as well as comfortable chairs and tables throughout the branch for customers to read, write, study or visit. Several meeting rooms are available for community or neighborhood meetings. The Plaza Branch has particularly strong collections in children's resources, arts & crafts books, and business materials. It also has large video, compact disc, and audiobook collections.
